Born in 1977 in Bern, started her education to become a photographer with a Diploma of Foundation Course in art & design at Chelsea College in London, followed by half a year study visit in Barcelona and the Diploma for visual Art at the Zurich University of the Arts ZHDK.

Mara Truog is specialised in portrait and reportage photography, her interests range from travel to cultural and social issues. She works for national and international clients in editorial as well as corporate sector. She speaks several languages as german, french, english, italian, rhaeto-romanic and little spanish. Since 2002 she works as a freelance photographer. She lives with her partner and their two children in Zurich.
